So before we actually moved inwe had to finish the bedroom floors. The guys before us did the main rooms, but left the smaller ones. I thought it would be east. oohhh, no! slight miscalculation on my part. We ended up having to strip the varnish off the floors, then sanding them. A 5 hour job ended up taking about 12. Not fun. But they are done, and they look nice. As long as you don't look to close :)This would be the closet before I got it completely finished. For some reason they made this closet 3 feet deep. LOTS of wasted space. So I took out the old fashioned rod and shelf and put up shelves and drawers. way better use of space. I also left the doors off and put up some cool curtains instead. The kitchen. Nothing spectacular. Newly remodeled. Gas stove. Not as big as we would have liked, but a nice enough size. This would be my flour cabinet. now that I'm gluten free, I have to use several types of flour. And I got a little obsessive on the organization. The crappy part is, the dude before us didn't secure the cabinet to the wall and it is already coming off on one side. niiice. The joys of owning your own home.

I've been off to Never Never land
So maybe not NeverNever land, but definitely out there. I've discovered that a 40 hour a week job totally interferes with my life. I don't have time to do any of the stuff I'd rather be doing! And that includes blogging, and reading other blogs. But for now, this little update will have to do. I have others, I will just have to find a minute or two to write. This is a pic of our new house. We closed on the 30th of September. I used to have a pretty easy commute to my new job. Now it's more hellish. Distance-wise, it's shorter, but waaaayyyy more traffic, which I totally hate, and it stresses me out. But books on tape saves the day.
