Today was not a good day

If you don't want to be depressed, don't read:) Cause I'm depressed. kinda. Sad, disheartened, frustrated, angry, should i go on? I found out today yet another one of my friends is pregnant, and they've only been married 5 months. WHAT?!!!!! That puts the number up to 10!! WHY???? Life is so stinkin unfair. If you you are wondering what brings on this rant, Sean and I have been trying for 2 YEARS!!! Can we say frustrated? I'm so happy for those of my friends that have met with success in this venture:) Seriously, I am. But it's so incredibly hard to hear about it, over, and over, and over, and over, and over.... you get my drift. Meanwhile, we are still going to Dr.'s after Dr.'s and no one can figure out what is wrong. Luckily, other than being hypoglycemic, hormonely there is nothing wrong, at least in general. I'm just insane once a month:) And let me tell ya, that once a month pshychosis gets harder and harder to deal with as time goes by. 2 more tests to do before we just throw up our hands and say, "screw it, we're outta luck." Maybe we'll get lucky and they will figure it out, maybe my life sucks and they won't and we won't be able to have kids for 2 more years because we are poor and can't afford IVF, until I'm done with school and have a real job. Okay, maybe I should stop for now. My rant needs to be over, but I am having a really hard time dealing and I don't know what else to do, so I'm cyber dumping. There is a little hope out there for me, and I'm stuggling to hold on. At the temple, I was told I would have a baby, okay, that is good. I think He meant this life. Had a sonogram today, had follicles, so yep have eggs, that's a good sign, won't have to borrow anyones. Okay, SO WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG????!!!!!! AAAARGH, I hate this. Sean made the mistake one day of saying that maybe we were supposed to wait until I got done with school. Bad idea. I used our friends in Williamsburg that are all in law school as an example. Then asked, what, just because I'm the mom, I can't have a child while going to school? He hasn't brought that up again. Okay, I think I'm done now. Or at least I should be done, so I'm stopping now. Hopefully in a few months, I'll soon be able to send out good news, of a much happier sort:) Who knows, maybe Heavenly Father thinks I haven't learned the lesson I'm supposed to yet. I just wish I could get a hint on what it is I'm supposed to learn, so I can learn it quicker. Oy, vey:)

Bitten by the crafty bug....again

While subbing for the sewing teacher, sometime before Thanksgiving, I helped the class make this great bag. I just had to have the pattern. Luckily JoAnn Fabrics was having a pattern sale the next weekend. I love this bag and have made 2 of them. One for Christmas, out of brown corduroy and green holly/Christmas material, and I cut our the holly leaves from felt and sewed them on the front. The other bag, well, it's just an everyday thing. I used some gray wool and some red shirting with an oriental print. I added the strip around the outside all on my own. As my mom would say, I don't like to follow directions:) These bags are the perfect size for scriptures, so I get to show them off at church every sunday. Well, kinda, no one knows I made them, so I don't really show them off:) I'll probably have to make a few more before the year is through.

Gourmet Dinner

I love being married to a chef:) The other night he wanted to make a nice meal for me/us. So this is what we got. That would be glazed salmon with a miso cream sauce, over jasmine rice with green beans and a portabella mushroom. It tasted as good as it looked!

Another cold day

It's not supposed to get over 25 today. It sounded like a good day to go ice skating again. Abby was much better this time and spent more time on her skates than on her butt:) Here they thought they needed to clean off their blades. Ha, supposedly it would help them skate better:)
Sean was able to come with us this time. So funny. He hasn't been since high school, and it took him a minute to get back into the swing of things.
Had to get a picture of Sean skating with Abby, too cute. Awwww:)

Ice Skating at the park

What fun we had today! The girls wanted to go ice skating really bad. So I figured why not:) Even though temperatures were supposed to be in the 40's today, the ice rink at the park is frozen all winter long. Lucky us. Made for a less frozen experience. Abby had never been before, at least as far as she could remember. So this was were she spent most of her time! Poor girl's pants were soaked by the time we left!
After about an hour on skates she was getting the hang of it and was able to let go of the wall for longer periods of time.
And Sabrina was showing off! She has been a few times this winter and is steadier on her feet than Abby (who, you can see in the background on the right, hanging onto the wall) Sabrina was so excited that she could go a little ways with one foot in the air.
I wasn't quick enough with the camera. Sabrina did manage to fall twice, but I missed her:) They laughed when I wobbled a little bit on my skates, because I managed to stay up the entire time, even though I haven't been on ice skates in 5 years. I wasn't about to fall on purpose, just for their entertainment, I'm too old, and would probably have broken something!

Christmas with Mom

Mom was able to come out for a few days to celebrate Christmas with us. We unwrapped presents at Al's house. Bobby loved taking all the paper off the presents, he could care less what was in the box:) This would be the Flexible Flyer, little red wagon that he got from Grandma Wolf. Candy didn't even need to help him unwrap it, she just held the box.
Brother in law Gregg and Mom unwrapping some of their gifts.
Bobby unwrapping another of his presents, he was the funnest part of the holiday.

Grandma's House

My Dad's side of the family is pretty big so we needed 3 days to celebrate Christmas:) Last Saturday my mom was in town from California and my wandering "hippy" cousin was home from Maine. So we had a party. My uncle Kevin and my cousin Travis.
My nephew Bobby and Uncle Joe. They were playing a hiding game that only a 2 year old can play:)
Bobby was thirsty and he thought it was pretty fun to drink out of Gramma's water mug. He knew he couldn't take it anywhere, so he left it on the table to drink out of.
My mom and Aunt Edie.
