Sean thinks I have a problem:) I made yet another bag today. Actually I finished one that I had started on Saturday, and made an entire other one. This is the bag I made for Easter ( a month ago) and the one I made for the summer. Which I started on Saturday. I use the same pattern, but I spice it up so none of them look the same.
I made this one after I finished the summer bag. I found some pink leapord print left over from another project and thought I could use it for a bag. I also have all this wool that I got free from someone in Williamsburg. I found this great brown in the pile, so I put them together. Watcha think? I made it because the other one I was using as a purse was too fancy, and I needed something that went with my brown and tan clothes. It looks even better in person when the camera doesn't wash out the color.

Lighthouses of the Outer Banks
Currituck Lighthouse, North of Nag's Head Bodie Island Lighthouse
Cape Hatteras Lighthouse
Ocracoke Lighthouse, just a ferry ride away from Nag's Head
The entire trip took 3 hours roundtrip. We started at Bodie Island and went all the way to Ocracoke Island in one day. We went to Currituck the next day since it was the other direction.

Hall of Famer
It has officially been announced that I have been inducted into the Ashtabula County Basketball Hall of Fame. Ashtabula you ask? Where the HECK is that? Well, it's the largest, poorest county in Ohio. Up in the Northeast corner, almost in PA. But we have great basketball there, although no universities think to look there. Here's the website if you want to check out the article. Yep, believe it, I'm famous.

Eeyore's Vacation
Okay, so I'm 30-something years old and you'd think I wouldn't need to take a stuffed animal with me when I go on vacation. There's were you'd be wrong:) Eeyore the navigator
Bird watching. There wasn't too many out there to see. Although, we did see 2 swans, pretty cool.
Beach bum.
At the Ocracoke Lighthouse
On the beach after I finished the sand crab

The lost colony and the Elizabeathen Garden
We stopped at the Lost Colony of Roanoke. Not much to see, other than this earthen fort. They had a few artifacts and a little museum. This is the small garden in front of the entrance to the Elizabeathen Gardens. I asked the person at the counter if there were flowers to see. Of course she said there were. Uh, yeah, depends on your perspective, I guess. She was collecting the money, so of course she would say there was lots to look at:)
Cool statue of the Queen Elizabeth that sent the first colonists to Roanoke. Sean kept hitting it, like a bell, since it was metal and made a loud "gong." There was another area were it was supposed to be this statue to the first woman to give birth to a child here, and her father was the govenor. It was not worth the time we spent looking for it.
This would be an example of the flowers that were in bloom in the garden. Many colors, red, striped, yellow, etc, but not much else. A few tulips, and other spring flowers, but nothing great. I'm thinking that if we had gone in May, it would have been beautiful. We just went too early.

Kitty Hawk aka Wright Brothers Museum
After going to the dunes at Jockey Ridge we headed down the road to Kitty Hawk where the Wright brothers flew the first plane. Yet another really cool place, but due to the crazy cold wind, we didn't enjoy it much:) Here's the first plane, pretty cool. They had another replica in a nearby hanger, but it had a mannequin of Wilber on it.

Jockey Ridge State Park
Nag's Head NC
We got to Nag's Head on Sunday and had time to wander down to the beach. Here's the Bed & Breakfast we stayed at. It was okay, the bed in our room was too soft, and we woke up every morning sore. Not cool. We were pretty close to the beach. Although, the wind was so bad we couldn't really stay on the beach too long.
Pre-Vacation
On our way to vacation in Nag's Head, NC, Sean and I decided to stop by Williamsburg, since it's on the way, and visit our friends Dawn and Matt. Olivia and Eric were there when we showed up as well. Oh, yeah, they were there to watch the BYU game, of course. We really miss Williamsburg. We kept saying how much we missed it the entire time we were on vacation. I'm thinking that we might be going back down south, once we are able to.
Lily has got to be the cutest:) Sean was teasing her and she looked right at the camera and gave this little smile. She knew exactly was she was doing.
McKenna knows Sean as the guy who plays with her frog with her. She loves it, and giggles and laughs the entire time. And she keeps coming back for more.

Bicycle Cowgirls
While in Daytona at the Bike Rally, Sean bought the girls souvenirs. They loved the pink hats that had the tiarra's already on them! You can't see the tiarras because the sun is shining in their faces. Yes, the sun was shining in Pittsburgh today. Amazing. Anyway. The girls put their hats on and immediately went outside to ride their bikes. Abby would be flipping the longhorn sign, nothing else:) I'm not sure where she learned that, I'm guessing her dad showed her.

I'm Melting, I'm Melting
Remember Queen Frosta? Well. This is just a prime example of the weather we must deal with in this crazy city. Yesterday it was 60 and sunny. All day. Which is kinda rare on it's own. I had to work so I couldn't even enjoy. But, anyway. The queen didn't enjoy it either. As you can see, there isn't much left of my great creation. Mind you, I only made it 2 DAYS AGO!!! Snow people just don't last long here. This was what she looked like this morning. Her crown disappeared sometime during the meltdown. I have no idea where it went. Maybe the raccoon thought it was cool and wanted to wear it:)
And this was this afternoon. It's been raining all day, so that helped her to melt, along with the 40 degree temp. But, guess what?! It's supposed to snow again on Thursday:) Yeah, I love living here.

Frosty the snowman
Sean is in Daytona for the week working, so I'm bored. He's enjoying the sunshine, getting sunburned and I am getting burried in snow. Now, is this fair? Today, I had to shovel the end of the driveway because I was having a little trouble getting in and out. So I had to clear the snow. This would be some of the pile that had accululated at the end of the driveway. Nothing like snow up to the bottom of the mailbox:) In total, I think we got at least 6 inches over the course of a week. 1 day of no school, 2 days of delays. There is one good thing about snow!
While shoveling I noticed that the snowed packed really well. hmmmm. I got a brilliant idea. I haven't made a snow man in a LONG time, so I figured, why not?! Here is Queen Frosta, the finished product. The crappy part about the whole thing, it's supposed to get up to 50 today and 60 tomorrow, so she will melt and look funny. Have I mentioned how much I HATE Pittsburgh weather?!
