Digging out

The only thing of note lately is 21 inches of snow. And this is what 21 inches lookes like. Actually pretty darn fun. The trail that the dog and I had to make out of our house. The road was.. um... kinda plowed. It had been a few hours sicne they had been through so there was at least 4 inches on the road. not bad compared to the 20 in our yard.

The back deck. Sean was so nice, he threw Einstein, the cat out in this mess. I coulda killed him

And poor Riddick does not like snow touching his belly :) Which of course, it was. For a great dane, that's pretty impressive!

Holy smokes! That's a lot of snow! Did the whole city shut down for the day?

I agree the snow is pretty impressive under the belly of a great dane! We felt the same way when the snow was up to the chest of our Mastiff! I am curious to know how many days you got off from school (or the kids anyway) for your 21 inches. Mine got off school for 8 days. Straight. In a row. Crazy how a few hundred miles south and a few less snow plows will do that in the same amount of snow. (well we got a little more, but not a lot more)

The kids were out for an entire week. And the city only shut down for a day or two. The roads were really bad and didn't get completely clear until a week after the original snow fell. Many people were not happy. One of the major problems was there was no where to put the snow.
