How the kitty got his name

I have a really smart cat. No one believes me, but I do. His name is Einstein, and he deserves all that that means! Within the first month of owning him I had to secure the kitchen cupboards cause he had figured out how to get into them. Now he has figured out where the kitty snacks are "hidden." I have NO idea how he figured out they were up there. not cool. This is him on the trash compactor, where the kitty treats were hidden. Not hidden anymore.
This is the hole he chewed in the bottom of the bag to get the treats out. For Christmas we had 2 bags of treats in his stocking. He managed to get one of the bags out and chew it open as well. There are teeth marks all over it. See, I told you my cat was smart. little bugger. now I have to hide the treats in a cupboard instead of in plane sight.

Losing the last few teeth

Abby is not one for pain. She slowly pulls the band-aid off, hoping it won't hurt the longer she takes. She's not for getting things over quick. oy. She has had a loose tooth for weeks now. The other night she actually agreed to have Sean tie a string around the loose tooth and attach it to the door. Here is Sean leading her to the door.
Once he got it attached to the door he didn't close the door fast enough. So then Abby started whining that it hurt. Sean then took it upon himself to pull up on the string. And with a sucking 'pop the tooth was out. Here is Abby after the tooth was out. She actually still believes in the tooth fairy and was expecting money in the morning. She got a whole dollar:)

Here we Go!

Steelers are going to the Super Bowl! Like my tape dispensers? :) Found them in the computer room. Imagine finding them when our boys are going to play the Cardinals next weekend. Ha, funny things you find in your in-laws house :)

Because it freezing outside!!

Don't know if anyone is paying attention to the weather in the 'Burgh, except for those of us that live here, but it's FREEZING here. It only got up to 8 today. brrrrrr. When I took the dog out for a walk this mornin' he did NOT want to go.He only went cause he had to, poor guy. While we were walking I noticed that he was pretty cold, and not happy to be out at all. And if you know anything about Great Dane's they really aren't cold weather dogs. They don't have a lot of fur, nor do they have a lot of fat. This means that they don't stay very warm. So I decided to make Riddick a coat. Sean was all worried that it was going to be a sissy coat and that he (the dog) would be embarrassed to wear it :) uh, yeah. Sean said it would be okay if it was a Steeler's coat. He had no idea what material I had brought home, and I didn't tell him. So I tried to make the coat without Sean seeing until I was almost done. He thought it was pretty cool, and he was glad I wouldn't embarrass the dog. Good grief! I had to make the pattern myself since the ones that they sell don't come nearly big enough for a 130 lb dog! And since it was so cold outside, and I wasn't about to go out either, I sewed up a bed cover for the dog bed. I put a zipper in one end so when it gets dirty I can take it off and throw it in the washing machine. Did that without a pattern too, would have taken too much time :) I don't have a picture of it because as soon as I got done the dog laid down on it. I guess he likes it.

Finally! Snow!

We finally got enough snow overnight that we could take the sleds out for a test run. Sean took the girls out to the same hill we went to last year. I didn't go since I didn't feel like getting more sick than I already was. When they got home the girls wanted to make a snow fort, so Sabrina started rolling balls for the base of the fort.

Abby was filling the bucket for the top of the fort.
The girls begged Sean to come out and help them and he resisted for a while, but then finally caved, and went out to help. The entire time they were out there it was misting. As in raining, not snowing. Gotta love this place. They used so much of the snow that the ground was visible. And this is Abby's version of the Statue of Liberty. Gotta love her hair in this :)

Christmas at Grandma Wolf's

The Kids

Of the nine remaining kids Grandma has, 7 and their spouses, made it to the party. Paul and his wife Heather, Helen and her husband Rick, and Mom are the ones missing.

The GrandkidsWe used to have a picture taken every year off all the kids at Christmas in front of the fire place. After some of us graduated from college, the tradition kinda stopped. This is the first year in ten that we have this great picture. The next picture would be the orginizational stage. We had a little trouble since there were A LOT of us. I think there are 23 cousins, but I could be off by one or two :) And now that the majority of us are married, well, that makes for a lot of people that we needed to get into one little spot. Holly and Mel, Kenny's fiance, are the two on the left that are kind of cut off. sorry. Missing: Amy & Rob, Taylor, Clinton, Becky, Josh & Monique.
The great-grandkids
It took at least 5 pictures to finally get one that was okay. Nothing like having a bunch of little ones trying to sit in one place. You should see the one of us when my sisters and I are about 3,4&5. I think Ben is crying. Hmm, that is Ben's daughter crying in this one. Do I see a pattern here ? Missing: Brooklyn and one other, I think, but am not sure who.

The latest addition
Peggy holding Kevin Rodney

Bobby wanted a garage for his truck. Made me get out the lincoln logs and make him a garage. This little man is very bossy:) Just ask his mom! Then he tried to put this monstertruck in my garage, had to put a stop to that! Stella taking pictures. She was going around telling everyone to say cheese. The joys of digital camera's. The kids can take pictures and you can erase them when you get the camera back.Gram, Marylin, and EdieAmanda, Peggy, Brigitte waiting for Raymond and Renee to open their gifts. Kevin Rodney was born around Thanksgiving, so we had a baby shower for him while we were at Gram's. Raymond was showing off the outfits :)
At Gram's everyone gets a stocking. I mean EVERYONE. There are over 50, probably closer to 70 than 50 of them hanging on the stairwell. The best part are the hot wheels cars that come in them:) We empty our stockings into brown paper sacks so the stockings can be rehung next year.
